I went out to the grocery store
Said, ‘I won’t be long’, as I closed the door
I met Tom Bannerman along the wy
And we sat drinking for the rest of the day

Well the time went by, as time will do
I left my jacket and my right foot shoe
My wife said, ‘What the hell’s wrong with you!’
She don’t love me now like the way she used to do

I went out to the five and dime
Said for sure that I’d be home on time
I met an old friend from way back when
Never did make it back home again
The years rolled by, as years will do
I met another woman who loved me true
But things have changed and I feel blue
She don’t love me now like the way she used to do

3. The Way She Used To Do
(McGowan) This is one of a series of songs I sent to Jore with plans for Jore to add some overdubs - but in the end I decided just to keep them as they were with just guitar and vocal. A tale of drink, women, male cameraderie and the continual battle to escape melancholia by always thinking the grass is greener somewhere else. -- Davy

This time Davy appears here sounding a little bit lighter than usual. That's because we planned to do songs also for Mescaline Smugglers and Kvester Melkk Quitet new releases but then they just became a part of Baltic Moonshine Band material. Cool smoky track. -- Jore
